Don Grosh has been in the guitar building business for quite some time. Though you may not have heard his name before, he has been building and repairing guitars in the Southern California area for some of the world's greatest players for years. Now, Don Grosh is making available his own line of guitars. Not mass produced in some factory, but hand crafted in his new Colorado shop. Don builds a limited number of guitars each year, emphasizing the sounds of some of the best vintage guitars in the world.

Don Grosh Guitars represents the very best of what a small, passionate luthier can accomplish using a combination of tried and true traditional designs and modern construction techniques. A true custom builder, Don has built and worked for many professional musicians and this real world knowledge finds its way into every guitar of timeless beauty and quality that he builds. Only the very best of materials are used, all of which are personally selected by Don himself from a private stock of tone woods. Careful attention is placed on the acoustic aspects of the build. Don Grosh guitars are acoustically alive and resonant. That is the most important factor in world class guitar tone.  If you have ever asked, "Does anybody make them like they used to?” the answer is, YES. Many of his instruments, most notably the Retro Classic, have been given rave reviews by Guitar Player, Vintage Guitar and other publications and his custom creations, considering the quality, are surprisingly affordable. About the Retro Classic, Guitar Player said this; "You can follow many trails searching for a fine original or replica Strat, but it's doubtful you'll find anything that sounds or plays better than the Grosh." We agree, but the superlatives are not reserved solely for the Retro Classic.
