What about dealer Prep? Shipping boxes has nothing to do with loving guitars, it has everything to do with shipping boxes. Here's what happens with every high-end and collectible guitar we receive. We open the box and inspect the guitar for cosmetic details, neck condition, fret condition and alignment, playability, electronics operation, and overall quality. If it is a high-end instrument or collectible, we will be sure that in fact it is what the manufacturer represents. That they did it right. That way every guitar that we display or ship is a guitar we can be proud to have represented. Let's face it, not all high-end production guitars are equal. If a manufacturer says a guitar is supposed to be a flame-top, we make sure that it is not just technically a flame-top, but a flame-top that blows you away.

Do we accept all guitars from the manufacturers after we initially inspect them? No. We send some back- and not because they are defective, but because they are not OUTSTANDING examples of that particular model. Where do these guitars go when we return them? We don't know for sure, but I suspect they may end up where they just ship 'boxes". If our pickiest inspector doesn't just love the guitar like it was his own, and if a member of our sales team doesn't agree, we ship it back.

We can't turn an average guitar into a great one, but we don't sell average guitars. We have a certified luthier on staff to take care of small routine issues with our guitars. Many of our customers request that our luthier do a "custom setup" just for them before they take delivery on their new guitar. It is an inexpensive way to get your new dream guitar to play exactly the way you want it to. Because guitars are unique we don't have an automated way to purchase a guitar on our internet site.

We Special Order any Instrument that we do not have, and can give you immediate delivery information on production as well as custom instruments.
